SATB Cambiata Youth Choirs Commissions
Workshops
A highly experienced conductor and choral animateur, Ian leads workshops and singing days for choirs and music organisations across the NW. Recent projects included singing days for choral societies (works by Chilcott, Dove, Faure and Vivaldi) and community choirs (works ranging from Mozart to Musical Theatre).
His singing days focus on vocal technique, exploring (and making links between) music written in different styles and, above all, enjoying singing.
Each workshop/singing day is designed in conjunction with the group taking part. Contact Ian about a workshop for your choir.

Thanks to you for a brilliant day. Your infectious enthusiasm affected us all and we really enjoyed it… Another of our choir members… who sings with Lytham Choral Society, said that she has attended many, many workshops in her life and [yours] was the best she has ever attended. A sought-after exponent of cambiata approaches, Ian is regularly invited to speak at conferences and lead CPD workshops for teachers/conductors interested in developing changing voice groups.

“
I thoroughly enjoyed the day, and I must admit it did give me a real confidence boost in my singing ability, especially in singing in front of, and with other people! (Participant, Cambiata Voices Singing Day for Royal Liverpool Philharmonic)

Ian has composed songs for our KS2 singing project and they are just fabulous. Exactly in the right vocal range, appropriate words and utterly loved by students, staff and audience alike. I would highly recommend his work to anyone! – (Blackburn Cathedral Sing Together)
