Voicing: Cambiata 1 (G3 – G4), Cambiata 2 (E3 – E4), Baritone (A2 – B3), (C3 – B3 possible using optional changes) and Piano
The melody is initially sung by the Cambiata 1 before moving to the Baritone part in verse 3.
A Cambiata 2 / Tutti Cambiata countermelody in verse 3 ensures those parts stay engaged whilst the Baritones sing the main melody.
If A2-B2 is too low for your Baritones, alternative suggestions are given for those moments which narrows the vocal range of their part overall to C3-B3.
The 5/4 metre and slow tempo gives a lilting feel to the arrangement which encourages emotional engagement.
