The melody is sung by the Sopranos with the Alto and Baritone lines providing harmonic support. The text is in German with an English translation included on the last page of the score.

Du bist die Ruh: Each verse starts in unison (8ves) before the texture gradually thickens to three parts. The text is in German with an English translation included on the last page of the score.

The piano accompaniment for both songs is based upon Schubert’s original piano scores.
